St. Jude Novena Day 9: Thanksgiving and the Promise

Make the Sign of the Cross, and bring your intention before God.

Today's reflection

The last day. Thank God for carrying you through these nine days, whatever things look like right now. Answers do not always come on our schedule, and sometimes they come in a shape we did not expect. Remember the promise in the prayer, to be mindful of God's goodness and to make Saint Jude known. When your prayer is answered, please come back and tell us. Your story may be the very thing someone else needs.

The Novena Prayer

Most holy Apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (here make your request), and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever.

I promise, O blessed Saint Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God, and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Pray an Our Father, a Hail Mary and a Glory Be.

Saint Jude, worker of miracles, pray for us. Saint Jude, help of the hopeless, pray for us.
